Review for Nagpuri Saoji Restaurant If you’re craving bold, authentic flavors, Nagpuri Saoji Restaurant is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm hospitality and prompt service. The Surmai Fry and Bombil Fry were absolute showstoppers—perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. Each bite was packed with coastal magic. But the real highlight was the Saoji Goat Curry—spicy, rich, and full of depth. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but if you love your spice, this dish is an unforgettable experience. To balance out the heat, we ended the meal with a cool, creamy Srikhand—a perfect, sweet finale. Excellent food, top-notch service, and a staff that clearly takes pride in what they do. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys authentic Saoji cuisine with a fiery kick!

Had really good Indian food after a long time. Spice Bazaar in Metuchen used to be my favorite, but this is as good. Appetizers - Kachori, Tandoori Shrimp - was good, but fish sounded better, for next time. Main course- Goat Handi- just cooked to perfection & gravy was amazing. Kolhapuri Chicken - Really good too, but goat was at a different level. For drinks I ordered Mukhwaas Old Fashion - was really hesitant to order, but this was good & not too sweet. Forget the other drink my wife ordered, but was not bad.. For desert Shrikhand, that I have never had before, was not bad. One suggestion - please use better quality rice.

Loved it!. Its my second time to this area. Loved it last time and love it this time. Food was amazing and rich with flavor. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Everyone should expireance this place!

Stopped by this place for dinner with my family. We ordered veg tandoori Momos, Shegaon Kachori, Surmai and Saoji kothimbir vadi( pudachi vadi) for appetizers. Each appetizer was delicious and we finished it in no time. The pudachi vadi was something we tasted first time , it was like a spring roll filled with coriander, very delicious. Then we ordered saoji patodi rassa (curry) and malvani chicken curry along with jowar bhakris and solkadi. My family just loved the flavors. I do recommend this place if you want to enjoy some delicious nagpuri flavors along with malvani dishes. I have also tried their saoji chicken and vada pav in the past and loved those too.My sister had misal pav and liked it too.

This place is amazing. I grew up eating Marathi food and I miss it in the US as most Indian restaurants serve either North or South Indian food. This is a unique restaurant serving Maharashtrain food and it was absolutely delicious. We had a great time. The staff were so friendly and respectful. They were very sweet to my American partner and they made sure to alter the spiciness of the food for her taste. She enjoyed the food too. Everything was fresh and felt light even though we ordered a lot. It just tells you that they didn’t use weird ingredients that make you feel bloated. I wish I was a local in the area to enjoy this food often but I will be definitely going here whenever I am in town. Go try the food.. I don’t think you will be disappointed!

We’re from Virginia and first discovered this place during our visit to NYC in 2024. From the very first bite, we were completely in love—the flavors were incredible, and the food was absolutely delicious. Ever since, we’ve been wanting to come back. This year, we finally got the chance to visit again with family on our way back from New York, and it was just as amazing as we remembered. The food was bursting with flavor and the spice level was just perfect. We honestly couldn’t resist and ended up ordering so many dishes! We started with sabudana vada, poha, misal pav, non-veg thali, egg curry, orange kulfi, and paan—and everything was beyond delicious. The staff was so kind and attentive, taking care of us throughout the meal and even clearing the plates promptly. To top it all off, they treated us to a complimentary snack(chakli )which was also incredibly tasty. We truly wish there was a location here in Virginia—this place is a gem!

Excellent Maharashtrian food in the USA. We had Tari pohe, saoji chicken thali, Malwani fish thali and Puran poli. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Worth the long drive. Will definitely visit again if we come to New Jersey.
